January  2017

On Wednesday 18th January members enjoyed our regular post-Christmas Annual Dinner at the Blue Anchor in Feering. We enjoyed private use of the Garden Room where we indulged in canapés and a good selection of options for each of our three courses. Generous portion sizes meant that the New Year diet had to be postponed for another day!

Seated at five tables - with an option to mingle between courses - the evening was a chance to catch up with friends and exchange news. Crackers were pulled and paper hats worn, whilst groaning over the usual jokes and mottos!

All too soon the evening ended, with 'carriages' bearing us homewards at about 10.30pm.

Diverse Essex

This is our entry for the Centenary Show held at WI Centre, Hatfield Peverel on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th July.

Well done to all the members who joined together to provide a wonderful Tea Tray. Special thanks to Pat B. who convinced us that we should 'have a go.'

Macmillan Coffee Morning

WI member Anne held a Macmillan Coffee Morning in September raising £360. What a wonderful achievement.
